Most of the things they teach either are non-interesting or we have studied them in tuition etc.
Studies are becoming boring (as the system has failed)
So where does a common man/woman go to find happiness and joy?
The entertainment system has improved and has grown over the years
we have easy access to games, movies, tv series etc.
Most of them are available as free (pirated),
So may I ask you if you are given a source of happiness and joy for free will you take it?
of course, you will take it!
Most of the people are sad and video games is just a way to escape the reality and experience the things you cannot in the real world.
And the people who have a decent flow of money pay for in-app and paid games to just enjoy.
when video games were not easily accessible, there were other means of entertainment but now all types of entertainment are available easily at your fingertips.
So people play them and pay for them and just enjoy a new experience.
Also, people who are not good in this world but are good in video games / cyber world just want to stay there because it is their realm.
Also, companies making and distributing these games are smart and follow different methods/techniques to lure players into buying stuff they don't need and they are presenting their games in ways that directly make us buy them.
and why not if you like to play games you can but its completely depends on you
if you want you can there is nothing crazy
