Google launched Android 14 beta testing for Pixel smartphones a few days ago, and Samsung will do the same for Galaxy handsets in a few months. Samsung's version of Android 14 will contain One UI 6.0, which will provide new features on top of everything else in Android 14.

Once beta testing is completed, Samsung will begin releasing the stable version of Android 14 with One UI 6.0 to the general public. Which Galaxy device, however, will be the first to receive the One UI 6.0 update?

The Galaxy S23 series is almost certain to be the first to receive One UI 6.0.

As Samsung fans are already aware, the Galaxy S9 will be the first Galaxy smartphone to receive the next major One UI upgrade.Unless the firm follows the trend it has set over the years, the company's current Galaxy S flagship, the Galaxy S23, will be the Galaxy S23. The same is true for the One UI 6.0 beta (and Android 14). Through the One UI 6.0 beta programme, users of the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra will be able to test drive the new software before anybody else.

However, like in recent years, Samsung will extend the programme to other flagships, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 that will be released later this year, as well as virtually all Galaxy S, Note, and foldable flagships that are eligible for the update. It's unclear which mid-range phones will receive the One UI 6.0 beta, while smartphones like the Galaxy A53 and A54 are probable candidates.
